The 2nd “No Finish Line” (NFL) charity race, where participants can raise funds for charity either by running or walking, is taking place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens between the 25th – 29th of April.
Starting at 20:00 on Wednesday 25th April and ending at 14:00 on Sunday 29th April, the NFL circuit at the SNFCC will be open for a period of 90 hours allowing participants to take part any time of the day or night.
Participants can walk or run at any pace they choose, whenever they want. There are no time or distance limits applied to the race. The aim of each participant is to cover as many kilometres as they can and donate the equivalent amount of money.
During the first event last year, there were over 6000 participants who covered a combined distance of more than 50,000 km, raising over €25,000.
Running parallel to the charity race is the 24-hour international Ultramarathon race which starts at 12:00 on Saturday 28th and finishes at 12:00 on Sunday 29th of April.
The funds that are raised from this year’s race will go to “Together for Children” – a union of 10 non-for profile children’s NGOs. These all work as equals and offer prosperity to over 30,000 children on an annual basis. This includes more than 10,000 direct children beneficiaries on a regular basis.
Registration for the event is open until Friday 13th April. Participation fees are based on the individual taking part, and there are also group entries allowed as well.
